This week we are sharing a venue space we love playing at – Devil’s Thumb Ranch, Colorado’s premiere mountain Resort. Located 75 miles west of Denver, this 6,500 acre of wilderness offers beautiful mountain views, elegant venues, luxury lodging, decadent local cuisine, and endless mountain activities to celebrate with loved ones.
We love this venue because it is a full-service resort and wedding venue. We enjoy the views and have always had a great time playing events and weddings here. Last November, we had the opportunity to perform at Emma & Nick’s wedding here. This past March, it was featured on Rocky Mountain Bride. It was such a beautiful day and the reception was a blast! “Emma and Nick serendipitously moved to Denver around the same time and were connected by her brother. With mutual love for the great outdoors the two fell in love and continued their CO adventures together–hiking, exploring, dining, and wining. What was supposed to be a simple staycation turned into an emotional and unforgettable memory when Nick proposed at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. The pair said, “I do” amongst the snow-filled Rocky Mountains for their Devil’s Thumb Ranch wedding. The setting was perfect for the soulmates to join their rustic romance in holy matrimony. They promised each other eternity surrounded by the most scenic mountain peaks that Colorado has to offer. Emma was a bridal vision in her minimalist chic wedding dress and Prada heels. And of course, in true mountain girl fashion, she changed into delicate white-laced cowgirl boots. Throughout the day at each milestone moment there was no shortage of happy tears. Throughout the sophisticated celebration everyone couldn’t help but admire the natural beauty and aesthetic of such a charming Colorado wedding venue.”
