We are really excited about this blog post because we get to highlight one of our favorite vendors, root + gather events! They answered a few questions about their business and working with our band.
Tell us a little about yourself!
Root + Gather Events is a full service boutique wedding planning team based on the Front Range of Colorado. We are a group of seasoned wedding planners dedicated to creating unique, personal and authentic events for our clients. We understand that every couple has their own unique style and vision to bring to their wedding day–we fully embrace the unconventional. Our design style is undeniably bohemian and much of our inspiration is pulled from nature, the beautiful surroundings of Colorado as well as our travels around the world.
What is your favorite thing about working in weddings?
We’re always given the opportunity to learn and grow. With each year that passes, we are introduced to new (to us) traditions and cultures, and different ways to celebrate this universal celebration that is a wedding. It’s a beautiful thing.
Can you share a fun memory while working with Diamond Empire Band?
We planned a wedding a few years back; the groom worked in the music industry and these two were HUGE Phish fans. They hired Diamond Empire and the dance floor was packed all night, even through dinner.
What is your most memorable experience as a vendor?
That’s a tough one—we’ve been planning weddings for over 10 years now! There have been a LOT of memorable moments. Probably a favorite experience was seeing a 200-person wedding surprise the bride + groom with a flash mob. Every single guest was involved!
Do you have a quote to live by?
Even after all this time,the sun never says to the earth, “You owe me.”
